No, but it is best for our planning and budgeting if you can submit this by the end of October.
How will we use the funds raised in this campaign?
60% of the funds raised will return to the parish to support the campaign goals as defined by parish leadership.
What are the campaign expenses and how will these be paid?
The expense for each parish is 4.8% of its average ordinary income. Parish expenses will be deducted from the parish’s first disbursement.
Does a parish need to meet its campaign goal in order to receive distributions of funds raised?
No. The parish will receive their 60% distribution from campaign funds raised, paid out twice a year regardless if they meet their goal.
Am I obligated to contribute to the campaign at the amount in my letter?
No. The amount noted in your letter is only a suggestion, you know your family situation better than anyone. After prayerful discernment you decide what you can do. And of course you can exceed that amount too.
What are our funds going to be used for?
(1) Physical repair of the church building to include window repair and repointing the mortar on the outside stone.
(2) Build a columbarium at New Mount Calvary Cemetery for cremation burials.
(3) Replace the floor in the Parish Hall.
(4) Support for Joseph's House Programs.
